Is anybody out there ???

Today is Dec 13th and it is almost noon in Canada and I still don't see a new upload yet for today. The last file available I downloaded yesterday morning, and that was Dec 12th.

Did I miss an email, important announcement, is this a major holiday across the big pond, or did everybody over there just sleep in ???

The advertised update frequency is 5 a week, and we've been putting up a lot of bonus content but we'll be dropping back a little for a while. Forgive us for not answering posts on weekends, we try to get out once in a while!

When did the advertised posting become five a week? It has been daily, as far as I can remember, since I joined five years ago. And the "extra content" has been largely links to other sites since you renamed Overkill the Overkill Blog a while back -- vs. secondary agony submissions. Are submissions slowing down?

I joined in April 2004 and they had just switched to four weekly updates, and the very first Overkill was posted the following month from what I can recall.

I'm sure the daily updates only began about a year or so ago?

I'm going to check this now but maybe someone has noticed whether the countdown clock below the preview images accurately reflects whether there's a 24 or 48 hour interval between postings?

I think you're right Bish, I do remember getting 5 a week, 4F and 1M and one day had an OK, but once you get used to one a day it's hard to go without, it's almost cruel and inhuman punishment to be deprived

Hi Guys,

In 2004 we had 5 updates per week, no confessions and only one Overkill update a week, overkill began a month or so after we launched.

In March/April 2005 Confessions began to be added, still 5 updates a week and one Overkill a week.

In Dec 05/Jan 06, we had 5 updates a week (agony and confession) + 2 Overkill updates a week.

In March 2007 we went to 6 updates a week with 2 Overkill updates.

In July 2007 we started adding an extra Overkill, generally a confession extra.

In Aug 2008 we started adding an extra update here and there, plus confessions, and 3 Overkill updates, overkill updates were usually an extra agony and 2x confession extra's.

We now update 6 days (new agony and confessions) + Overkill 3-4 times per week, generally being duet agony's, confession extra's and extra agony footage.

I remember it has been steadily evolving, but had no definite numbers or dates. And for the record :
Beautiful Agony is the most Beautiful site around
and it's a perfect complement to the sister sites of ISM and IFM

Okay I checked it and the main page's countdown clock never shows any more than 24 hours till the next post.

But sometimes it just cycles to zero and resets at 24, but there's no post.

Shouldn't it indicate whether there are 24 or 48 hours till the next post? I'd certainly appreciate it.

I thought I'd noticed that, but then couldn't prove what I thought I saw. I agree tho, if there isn't going to be download, then the countdown clock should show 48 hours and count down from there, I'd be disappointed knowing I had to wait for 48, but not as disappointed as getting up and discovering what I thought would be there really isn't ....

Looks like there might be a bug there. We're making some changes soon which will fix that.

It is almost 7 EST and the countdown clock shows just over 18 hours to the next available. This time I think the small thumbnail looks female and the pattern of late does not have females on Sunday.
This is just an observation and not further bitchin by yours truly.

Anyway, hopefully whatever minor bug is there gets changed in due course

I didn't stay up to watch but I expected it.

Probably safe to assume Sunday uploads aren't happening any more, except for Overkills, at least there was something new there this morning.
