Hi everyone, as this is my first post let me just say what an amazing site this is! I would like to ask for download tips from other members though.
I have tried downloading the clips with my regular download manager (FreshDownload), but despite entering my login info it seems unable to download anything and instead reports that each file is actually an HTML file (presumably the 'you do not have access' one). Internet Explorer will only let me have two painfuly slow downloads running simultaneously so that is no good. I am currently using Opera's 'Quick Transfer' feature, which still seems glitchy and results in a high number of incomplete or totally corrupted files which is killing my bandwidth fast.
Many downloads just grind to a halt two thirds of the way through and apparently can't be resumed, only restarted.
Any suggestions? Is it just me or does everyone experience this?
Also, I made a bit of a screw-up in marking a large number of videos as 'seen' when I had just started the downloads. Now I find that many of the downloads failed, and I have no way of resetting all those 'seen' videos back to 'unseen' without having to go through all 550 clips one by one. Obviously the 'unseen' view is now totally useless to me as it is missing a large number of clips I haven't actually seen. I have sent a msg to help asking if they can all be reset so I can start again, hopefully this can be done without having to cancel and sign up for a new membership, but I've already received one reply which was a bit brief and 'dummies guide' and it missed my point.
So I'd have to say that while the content of this site is incredible, I'm having trouble grappling with the site itself.
Any tips?

I occasionaly have problems with my browser's downloader (Netscape but if I try a couple of times it usualy works. What media player are you using? When I joined the site in February I downloaded virtualy all of the female submissions in a couple of hours using this little baby:
It's an excelent download manager and has never let me down. (Apart from only once. That was on BA when it gave me the message that I was trying to download a HTML file. Now isn't that curious?).
Once downloaded I can play them on WMP, Realplayer or AVS with no problems.
Hope this has been of some help to you. (by the way. Welcome to the site).

Thanks Elfman,
It's not the media player I'm having trouble with, once I have downloaded the file I have a number of options that do the trick (I like Media Player Classic but Irfanview does a fantastic job too - for a free app it is probably the most useful one I have ever had and I wouldn't be without it).
It's the actual downloading that's problematic. I'm having slightly better luck using the Media Jukebox 'download manager' plugin. It still hangs and crashes from time to time, but the downloads are usually resumable. I will take a look at the app you suggest though, it would be nice not to have any of these bugs.
It seems that the HTML 'error' is caused when the server fails to recognise a legitimate user, and therefore decides not to allow the download. I'm no expert on cookies etc, so I don't know whether a cookie saved by IE for example should work for any other app trying to access the site from my computer, but I've found that MJ's Download Manager seems to be able to access it and yet FreshDownload (which I've always found to be extremely fast and reliable) cannot under any circumstances. I've tried entering my login info in FD to no avail, and MJDM seems to work fine without it. Go figure.
I am seriously enjoying the content though!

At the risk of stating the obvious wortgames have you tried the cookie tester?:

It just seems odd that since you have always found FreshDownload so reliable you should have trouble with it here.

The cookie tester finds a cookie fine, the problem must be in the way that FreshDownload interacts with the site.
I haven't used FD wth any other login sites, so it may well happen any time a password is required, but it works like a charm for general downloading so it was the only one I'd ever needed in the past.
I'm getting quite good results with the Media Jukebox downloader at the moment, it can't deal with fragmenting the files for download (something odd happens if I try that) but it is able to manage 3 simultaneous downloads and sits in the background happily working its way through a download list, so I'm happy with that.
Now I just need to work out which clips I want to get the larger file for
BTW - a tip for young players - your 'seen' selections can't be reset without finding them and resetting them individually, so don't go setting files to 'seen' willy-nilly or the feature will basically become useless to you

Wort,
First of all, I strongly suggest you stop using IE -- several very respectable computer security centers have come out with reports saying how insecure IE is.
Second, Firefox (from http://www.mozilla.org/ ) will let you have as many simultaneous downloads as your link will handle. I have had as many as ten going at once, and the speed is limited only by the speed of my link.
Give it a try. Yes, it's free.

Can I put in a word for Netscape here?
http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/
It will do everything (I think) that Firefox will plus it has it's own security system and firewall. Again it is free.
Also wortgames the download manger I suggested earlier has fields where you can input site passwords. It remembers them so once input you never have to worry about them again. It will download up to 10 files simultaneously and can que up hundreds so you can programme it to download as many as you like (it only takes a couple of seconds to programme each). It will even turn off you PC when it's finished downloading them all if you like.

Thanks again folks for your help.
I've now tried Firefox and IDA. Both of them hung just as often unfortunately. Firefox I found to be a little tricky to monitor the progress of the list compared to the other download apps (but it is far better than IE of course). IDA didn't actually seem quite as fast as MJDM and while I have no doubt it is a more versatile app, the trial version has a couple of annoyances compared to MJDM and it didn't give me any advantage.
The regular hangs must be something unique with my connection, I can accept that, and as long as I can resume downloads after a hang I can live with it.
So thanks again and I look forward to chatting with you when I've found some favourite clips to rave about.
(I'm currently finding 0207 to be a regular repeat)

Dear BA community:
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone recognize it or have ideas?
Every night at the same time, to within plus or minus twenty seconds, whatever file I am downloading is cut off, and the next file's download begun. So if I submit a list of ten files for overnight download, the next morning I have nine good files and one truncated one. The time of truncation was 1:52 am Pacific Daylight Time from the end of September up to October 10, then shifted to 2:02 am starting October 11. The download is ended by the usual "FIN PSH ACK" command from the BA server, but I have no idea what causes the server to issue this command, prematurely, at the same time every night, then immediately commence a successful download of the next file. A request for help to BA was forwarded to the server engineer, but came back with "it's not us; why don't you ask your ISP?" My ISP is clueless, best I can judge from their response, and I see no reason to suspect them.
Thanks to all for your help.

Sounds like it is doing this at the time the site is updated. When they update the site, all of the sub-pages containg 20 numbers are re-aligned and one number bumps down to make room for the new number coming in because of the change to the main page.
If that's not it, I don't have a clue.
