Richard and Lauren,
They say that you can tell what nationality someone is by listening for what language they swear in when the injure themselves... what language they use when in agony. I suspect the same could be said for what language they use (if any) during beatiful agony. Still, in most cases, you can tell when most people aren't speaking their native language.
I know you guys don't neccessarily have control over what language people choose to use during their "confessions", but you do set guidelines. I'd prefer to hear people speaking their native language, as opposed to broken english. Even if their english is very good, when it is not their first language of choice, it puts another layer of distance between their experience and what they're saying. We have people from all over the world as subscribers, right? Why limit the language of contributions to english?

We would like to be able to do this but unfortunately we only speak englishm which makes editing rather difficult. However I believe we may have some in French either already on the site, or in the pipleline.

Sure, sure, but you've had overkills where the contributors spoke different languages (I remember German and French). And going back over some of the confessions, there are several that speak other languages. It may make it harder to edit, but ...
I'm having trouble explaining the why, but I know it is how I feel.
Let's take 409 for example. Look at the difference in her body language from the english part vs the native part. She's noticeably more comfortable talking her native tongue (duh). I don't speak that language (I'm guessing it's Finish, I'm probably wrong), but I'd rather have her speak her native tongue and have to ask someone translate it later. I'm sure there are members who'd be willing to do that. Even if not, I'd rather have some confessions that I can't understand right now, but where the person is as comfortable and natural as possible.
As a side note, do you think you could add a new section to the forums, where people can post translations? You don't have way to add comments to any thing aside from Overkills right now, so as a substitute, having a section with one thread per contribution would make it easier to find.
What do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual.
What do you can someone who speaks one language? Stupid American. (That's me.)
