Over the last few weeks I have grown increasingly concerned by the lack of activity on this forum. In comparrison the one on IFM is a hive of activity (a few days ago I logged on and it took me the best part of an hour to catch up with the previous days posts). Do none of us really have anything new to contribute on BA? If nothing else we are hardly being fair to the contributors with our silence. I only hope that BA's membership figures will not reflect this drop in interest. (I do not divorce myself from this criticism. Since its inception I have posted 113 entries on the forum at IFM. This is only my 54th on this site and I have been a member here about a month longer).

That's the big mystery of BA! She said, she did one in the very early days of BA, but nobody (officially...) found out which one.

Alright then, I think she was just pulling evryone's leg. It can't be THAT big a deal to just say it now can it?
Hollywood actors/actresses do this sort of stuff all the time. Release some wild story to get the masses stirred up. Keeps their names in the lights.

I'm afraid that is the case as far I'm concerned. I think just about everything relevant about BA has already been said here... Kind of sad, of course, but that's life.

Absolutely, and erotic aesthetic of that Mystery can be extremely powerful.
However, sometimes one's palate hankers after a different flavour, and then a switch over to IMF can satisfy that need for a change.
.The new site removes all of that and is Erotic from the POV you can see very Beautiful
girls cumming which is even more unbelievable and very erotic.
Different taste for a different mood.
But I like the MYSTERY better
I like both -- sometimes one more than the other, sometimes 't'other way round -- just as one sometimes prefers one kind of wine, or music, or sex,
rather than another kind. Which is why I'm sure BA will continue, and that it and IFM will complement each other very nicely.

I certainly hope IFM hasn't sucked the life out of BA -- I still like this place!

Well, then we should turn to the "General" side and dig into what's not relevant. Or something.
Honestly, it's kind of a relief not having to spend an hour (or a week) just catching up. I'm sure it'll pick up again eventually. I'm not too worried about a lull.
Now, if L&R are worried about a lull, then I'm worried!

Couldn't agree more, PC Elmo! I don't think IFM for all its charms will ever fully replace BA. Beautiful Agony has a certain spartan character about it, a "purity", if you will, that still draws strength from its limitations and the site (if not its forum) will endure for quite some time, I'm sure. And now it's official, I've just said the very last relevant thing about BA!

Of course it does help if you can actualy get into the forum. A few days ago I somehow managed to get logged out of it and only just managed to log in again. I didn't think I had a record of my password (*It's me isn't it. Moron aren't I). tried to obtain it from the site but couldn't get it to recognise my email address and didn't remember which one I used when I registered (see * above). Then I thought that maybe my computer hadn't been eating enough of the right kind of biscuits or some such IT bollocks. Even started to wonder if I'd been banned from the forum for some reason and checked the user list to make sure. (It does happen you know ). Eventualy I discovered my password (for some reason my browser had remembered the wrong one). So anyway I'm back on. (Still can't think of anything new or pertinent to say though .)

This why I have a file with EVERY userid and password ever used along with software links, names, and reg info. It's all inside a file that is password protected with a password I can't forget. It has saved my bacon a number of times.

I don't know how to password protect individual files. (Also see * above). If you could point me in the right direction ashmedi I would be very grateful. My software is Windows XP.

Sorry Elf, I don't believe anyone is actually what they infer they infer they are.
My file was created in MSWord, a subset of the MSOffice program. Without knowing what software you use I will advise the following.
If you use Word or any other hi-level word processing or spreadsheet software, look under the menu strucxture for Options or tools and see if it offers password protection. I know Office does, and would assume Word Perfect does also.
If the software you use is not hi-level, you can backdoor a similar result.
You can create a file in your lowlevel software or even using Wordpad or Notepad which is basic Windows accessories. Once the file is created, you compress it using Winxip or WinRar and apply a password thru that software so that only someone with the software can open it. Once done, you delete the original file so that it does not exist any longer and you just have the compressed protected file.
A word of warning. DO NOT FORGET the password on the protected file as there is no way to get back into the file.
If you do not have compression software, your last method would be to create a file saved on a floppy disk that can be hidden away from prying eyes, and or printing a hard copy and hiding that.
If you still have questions that I haven't answered, feel free to email me and I will see where to go at that time.
