At least Garybobs I see what was disturbing you. Vaginal farting. This is not rare at all with all that fingers or else penetration, the air succeeds to go everywhere and at the first contractions it escapes. But that phenomenon is not related with orgasm.

There's also a name for it: queefing.
In my experience, it happens most often when a man enters a woman from behind, trapping air in the vaginal canal. It's seems more unusual that this would happen with a woman on her back and while masturbating. It may be that she was inserting her fingers which led to the air pocket.
