Top 5 Agony Songs

Okay here is my list of the Top 5 Songs about Beautiful Agony:

1. Blister in the Sun Violent Femmes
2. Longview- Green Day
3. Turning Japanese- Vapors
4. I Touch Myself- Divinyls
5. She Bop- Cyndi Lauper

I take into count the quality of the song combined with the obviousness of the Song's subject matter. Dancing with Myself and Stroke are better songs than 3. - 5. , but 99% of the people who sing along with these songs don't think they are singing about Beautiful Agony. Darling Nikki talks about masturbating (with a magazine) at the beginning, but it is not what the whole song is about. Britney Spears supposedly has a song about it (Touch of my Hand), but it wasn't released as a Single, so that doesn't count. I've never heard that one personally.

Songs on the theme of sexual gratification, not necessarily masturbation...."Don't Touch Me There" by The Tubes, and "Love to Love You Babe" which I think is by Donna Summer, and was rumoured to have been recorded with her in a blacked out studio to give her the privacy she needed. "Sex" by Berlin is also good.

Yes, I am over 30 and I probably have been thinking about Agony too much, but I'm down here in New Orleans helping out and I haven't seen my wife for 5 weeks and I have 3 more to go, so have some sympathy, lol.
Along those lines, I probably should thank Ruby for "helping me through" this extended absence

(Showing my own age here) Reaching back to the '60s, there was a song recorded by Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg called "Je t'aime, moi non plus" (translation: "I love you, neither do I" and I know, it never made sense to me either in English or French). The lyrics (in French) were pretty explicit, and were punctuated by very suggestive moaning by Jane Birkin, culminating in what sounded like an orgasm (and underground legend claimed really was!) It was very arousing, and predictably banned by the BBC.

There's a (1990s?) song with a lyric "Relax, go to it ... when you want to cum." but the title and artist are escaping me at this moment. I don't recognize it among the songs mentioned so far, though. That song is definitely about masturbation.

What about 'The Perfect Kiss' by New Order, simply for the line 'I'd rather stay at home, playing with my pleasure zone'.

Also, I find it hard to believe that serial pervsters Depeche Mode haven't done at least one song about this subject - any Mode fans out there who could enlighten us?

Don't forget "Captain Jack" by Billy Joel "You just sit at home and masturbate."

I LOVE this song, although it's a bit weird and exaggerated. But quite amusing...
