I understand pacing newbie videos so there's always enough content but 8 revivals in a row seems a little excessive to me. It's like a gamble whether we're going to see the new folks or not and recently the odds have been a little too unbalanced in my opinion.
I'd like to feel as if it's at least alternating in some way so there's a fair distribution of new content and revivals but there appears to be no pattern to it.

I suppose it's merely a lack of new submissions recently due to the limitations surrounding the pandemic. There could be other reasons but that's my best guess.

I think submissions have slowed because of the pandemic. Nothing to really do about that.

I suppose if we really do run out of new submissions then we can resort to just posting revivals but until then, I think an equal amount of both new and old is fine for now. I mean the schedule right now is no different to if they actually DID run out, so what gives? That's all I'm concerned about.

There a number of factors at play and I feel the site is doing the best they can under the circumstances which are all beyond the sites control.
I miss new content as much as the next guy, but there is no point in bitching and belly aching, that's not going to make pandemic go away, it won't make people feel better or change the lockdowns, it won't change the political pressures to close sites like this, and it sure as hell won't result in more submissions, or more submiissions of a high enough quality they can actually be used...
Patience is the key, wait and see, pray to your god if you think that will help, or just hibernate...
and to the admins, staff, and contributors, Happy New Year, I am hoping we all survive and things stabilize

I don't believe there was any bitching in my post, rather offering a fairly simple to understand solution to the lack of submissions in which we still get new content at a reasonable rate while buffering with revivals. I'm not asking for the pandemic to go away or more submissions to come in, I know those can't be controlled but the schedules are controlled and planned so I was giving my 2 cents.
Look, if you're ok with no new content now then why are we even worried about scarce submissions? Let them run out and when they do, you appear to not mind given the factors which I agree with. So let us have new content now and we will cross that bridge if it comes to it. That was my proposition, one I still believe makes the most sense for everyone.
I will remain patient as that's all there is to do while we all go into the New Year and hopefully it's a more promising one.

Cum moan,
Rookies #5324, #5325 and #5326 are coming soon.
And #5326's fresh confession just debuted today.
It'll be alright. But we oughta let them newbies come in their own due time (cunt rush such things).

[A tidbit-tangent] You know, I was watching a series called “Stranger Things” the other day; and was surprised to get wind that “bitchin'” can also mean “blazing, amazing, fascinating, scorchingly flabbergastingly cool”.
It can also mean “complaining”, of course.
But I think “bitch” (she-dog/prostitute) originates back from Latin's “lupi, lupa, lupo” (their former word for “wolf”). For, then, they had boys/men-harlots & girls/women-hookers working in Roman whorehouses (called either “lupercal”, or “lupanar” or something meaning “wolves's cave”).
It's weird that, from babies Romulus & Remus breast-feeding on a she-wolf we have this direct line to nearly every Western language connoting the word for “she-dog”/bitch (e. g., Spanish “perra”/“perro” and Portuguese “cadela(o)/cachorro(a)”) with meanings intended to be derogatory (such as a “tramp”/“lazy”/“whorish”/“promiscuous” [ - whatever this means- ] person).
But anyways... I just been sipping a couple of dry & wet wines, listening to Tom Waits's “Blue Valentine”'s remarkable song “Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis”, revisiting passages from the “Harry Potter” books and thinking about life at this extraordinarily weird pestilent moment in time.
To wrap it up, I'd just like to say that I'm soo glad to witness all these people, each such uniquely beautiful in their own ways, honouring the superb gifts that Aphrodite has dewed upon them.
'Cause “the best is always yet to come”. So come on, come again, come together & come (either inside or outside). Splashing, moaning or yodelling.
But always come, and come back again (like a boomerang, or Ulysses, or a cat, or summer & all them good times).

Ifever there was a momentary run out on the newcoming-stream, though, I guess they could just callout all Geminian contributors for revival submissions ('cause, Gemini-creatures being so protean, they do already seem completely shapeshifted, fresh, and as unknown as newbies, as soon as a week right after they've submitted anything).
That'd give surplus for any shortage ever imaginable

As a newvie myself, I am very happy to be joining all these amazing artists. I think it's been a difficult time for many and finding the space, the time, the freedom to make these videos has not been easy for many. I'm sure in time and as we recover, there will be a new surge of newbie, just be patient. In the meantime, I must admit myself to be more than willing to add more revival shoots....

I count 20 newbies in 60 days, i.e. one every three days. Seems like a pretty decent average to me.

It appears my comment has been misinterpreted by many, that's a shame. I'm not asking for everyone to regain composure and submit an agony, I know better than that.

My main quarrel was with the inconsistency and not so much the quantity. Once again, I'm not stomping the ground asking for more people to submit, I'm asking for a more consistent schedule and if not that, then maybe a different "upcoming videos" system.
I notice something has changed on the schedule bar and the videos are different so maybe they have implemented a new system now which shows what video is actually next in line.

We're relying on people sending us videos so we can't make them consistent can we! But yes we've changed the Upcoming thumbnails so they represent what's actually coming next.
