Diminishing returns in revivals

Over the years I've realised that, often when there's a first agony I really like and then a revival subsequently comes up, it tends to be a little underwhelming - not that the video's bad of course, but because the bar was set so high in agony 1 that it's hard to top it in the first place! On the flip side, revivals that stand out the most for me are often artists I paid little attention to the first time, and maybe something about the revival (camera angles, expressions etc) stood out to me more than the original.

Wonder if any of you have this same feeling too

There are two reasons for this.  (1) The law of diminishing returns in life experience. The second time you have sex is not exciting as the first time.  The second beer isn't as refreshing as the first.  The second day without cigarettes is easier than the first. (2) We put the best video up first

Notwithstanding, I think BA would be much the poorer if you abandoned second/third/etc. contributions. Admittedly some may seem a bit disappointing, but there are plenty of gems among them, and I only wish I had time to pick out enough examples to make the point.
For an example of two quite different contributions from the same lady, try 2585, and for two rather similar ones try 616 (with her, the second could almost have been a continuation of the first!). In both cases, the revival is at least as worth seeing as the original, if not more so.
Besides, the very fact that you have a thread which suggests specific revivals attests to their popularity!

I don't want to say one video is better than another, but everyone has preferences.  I can't think of any recent ones offhand where I liked the second more than the first, but it's happened plenty of times for me.

Haven't thought of point (2) above - though as always best is subjective, considering both @Tuxedo101 and I have had the same experience where we sometimes prefer #2 to #1!
