My god, 16 years.  I joined April 2004 around 0036.  Been a member ever since.  I was 20 in a college dorm.*  I think this site has had a major impact on me to be honest.  I've sporadically subscribed to ISM and IFM (and a few similar erotica sites), but BA is sorta the nexus for me and the constant.  I have never found traditional porn to be exciting (not knocking anybody who does).  I appreciate people and authenticity, and it's interesting the connection with the Confessions videos. 

These are real people and it's a privilege and a turn on to see each participant go through the journey.  They come into the frame, sort of squirming into position.  There often seems to be a moment of awkwardness as their everyday self is settling into "sexy time", but now it's for a camera.  They make a conscious decision set themselves to the business at hand and close their eyes (usually) and concentrate.  Then it's a slow build over the next several minutes, sometimes punctuated by deep breathes or a word here or there or some kind of arousal response.  They are slowly losing touch with the camera, or I imagine it's maybe sometimes a surrender to the camera as arousal outweighs the normal protectiveness people generally have.  They know it's there, sorta, but they don't care, and/or they like it.  Or some people just forget.  But they have become vulnerable and we have witnessed a transformation.  And eventually they reach a final stretch where the breathing and motion become more intense and things ratchet up.  Involuntary and idiosyncratic quirks seem to come alive and then build with more intensity.  And then a lot of people seem to almost pause right before, and then BAM: Orgasm.  And then it varies from subtle to screamers and everything in between.  The variety of orgasms is as wide as the variety of participants.  And then the denouement.  Some rest.  Some seem to look like, "Look what I just did!" or "I've just done this!"  Orgasms almost always happen about a minute before the end, which is interesting, or maybe because of the editing.  I like when people linger a bit.

It's fascinating to behold.  And combined with the Confessions is a special treat.  Hearing people speak frankly about their sexuality, history, stories, reasons for and experience of submitting to BA are really an insight.  Like a sex ed course.

Sorry to go on, but yeah I think BA has had an impact on what I find sexy in real life.  If I am with a partner I like to be real and connected and see their vulnerability.  And their orgasm face and them mine.  I like to witness them and be witnessed myself.  I had a casual partner who would always turn her face away like it was the fucking Exorcist when she came and she would always look away when I came.  She was the opposite way.  But what are you gonna do?  She was 20 years older than me (I have a long history with older women and I actually really, really, really dig when women over 50 contribute to BA) and she really had an, I dunno generationally different view on everything than me when it came to sex.  Which I found odd, because I have a clean cut appearance and she is the leader of a Gardnerian coven and her place... it was like having sex in a Wicca museum.  One time I looked up in the midst of climaxing and remembered all the crazy Wicca paraphernalia we were surrounded by and screamed "Hail Satan" as a joke.  I sorta felt bad.  Thankfully she had a sense of humor.

Sorry for all that TMI, but fuck it I never kiss and tell and got carried away.  Thank you BA for being cool and real and probably imprinting on me that reality is sexy.  I guess 5000 is enough of a milestone for me to write a tribute here and I know you guys running the show appreciate hearing feedback.  It's the least I can do to give back to this wonderful panoply of passion and... I will admit it... "spank bank".  (Always wonder who does want people wanking to them and who doesn't.)

*Only time I got busted was having BA on my... god, it was probably five laptops ago.

Tuxedo, thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing that. It's incredible to hear the ways in which the spaces we work in impact people. You'll know better than most just how far the site has come in all of these years, I'm 0220 & Confessions didn't even exist then. I was mouthy, so I did a few Overkills but I was so grateful to get the opportunity to do my Confessions in later years.

Okay, if you want to.  I read back over what I posted.  It's pretty wordy if you want use any of it, that's fine.  I had too much coffee maybe, didn't intend to spill but it brought back memories and if it's appreciated then great.  I've moved, but in my old town I had a busy enough dance card and that was a favorite partner of mine.

I recall your extra videos.  Been a while.  It's mindboggling how large the backlog is now.  It's like an entire small town's worth of o-faces.  I can't imagine what a newcomer would make of it.
