So long, farewell...

So after a very amazing 12 years, it's time for me to take my leave and say farewell to my beloved BA.

I wanted to say thank you to all of our wonderful subscribers, some of you whom have known me for some time now. I wish you all the best, thank you for loving BA as much as I do, for keeping me on my toes (please continue to keep both Ed and Richard on their toes, haha). Thank you for your humor and warmth. You're a mighty fine bunch indeed.

To all of our lovely BA participants, I am utterly blown away that we have so many people from all around the globe who have wanted to share themselves so intimately with us. You have filled my days full of love, laughs, sometimes shock and often very, very dirty thoughts. Thank you.

To BA HQ, Richard, Ed and Staff. You guys are the best! Richard - WOW, look at all that BA has achieved, I'm so proud of what we have created, I can't wait to see where the future takes her. Thank you. I have grown so much during my time with you all, leaving you leaves me very full of emotion. I'll miss our morning hello's more than you guys will know. Take care of yourselves, catch you round for coffee dates and good times soon!

Oh Lauren... I wish you well wherever you are headed. and with whoever and whatever will benefit from knowing you... You are one of a kind and one of the staff at Feck, and BA, that I have felt closest to over the years and I have always enjoyed your warmth, your humour, your helpfulness, and marveled at your ability to always have an answer for me... I have always enjoyed and appreciated your contributions to BA and to me...
I will miss you and miss the happy feeling I felt on seeing your name in the forums.

Is that it?  Not much of a farewell chorus!

It's a little surreal to look across the office and not see Lauren's headphones bobbing above the partition.  She leaves the site in very capable hands, though nobody could really fill the space in the same way.  When we first talked about making Agony happen in 2003, neither of us expected to still be here so many years later - in fact when we started talking about making it a commercial enterprise, some people said we wouldn't last more than a couple of months.  But here we are, still going strong, and very little has changed.  But back to Lauren - she was the one who really did all the work behind the scenes, kept the site going, always updating on time, always something interesting on Overkill.  Her work is sometimes very tedious, as Ed well knows, but she never complained. 

So thanks for everything Lauren, and best of luck with part B of your career.  We're all missing you already *sniff*

Goodbye Lauren. I love BA and I know that all your hard work behind the scenes has been a major part in making the website such a brilliant success. Thanks also for taking the time to answer all of our questions on the forums, that was always very much appreciated.

Good luck for the future! I hope everything works out for you with regard to whatever you move on to next. Love and hugs

Hi penguin6, Lauren is doing very well! She's the top student in all her design and art courses, and she's also involved in lots of awesome creative projects. We are good friends and I've passed on the message, and she replied with a BIG smile

Still miss Lauren. Hope she's doing well and enjoys whatever she is doing these days.

Son of a gun...  I didn't know she was still in contact or that she and you were friends...

If you remember or get another chance, can you tell Lauren I still miss her and think of her every time I am here... She was a source of info, and always had an answer... Lauren and Aven Frey (aka Max and/or Bobby) were always active on the forums and made everybody including me feel special, warm; and comfy
