Which confessions do you like best?

Hi. I'm new here. I notice various ones have listed their favorite agonies on the forum, or the agonies that meet some criterion (like being vocal), but I have not found any lists of favorite confessions, just a few mentions. So would some of you kindly list the confessions you like best? Thanks.

I probably like 1/2 the confessions posted, that would be about 1000 and too many to list...

However, if I liked it enough, I may have commented in the forums as do others...

If you do a simple search for "Confession" you will find almost 400 unique threads and numbers that people liked enough to comment on...

If you do a simple search for "Confession" and add the author Ashmedi or Ashmedi1 you will find some of the ones that I especially liked...

But everybody has their own ideas, try the searches and see if any of the results turn your crank

I'm quite taken by the confessions of 0993, 1203 and 1407 to name a few.

Thanks, 101 and Ashmedi. At first I was ignoring the confessions, in part because the audio quality of the early ones was often too poor to understand, due to microphone distance, outdoor street noise, etc. But the overkill blog recommended 2757, and that confession was amazing. So I'm glad to hear some more recommendations.

Yes, I agree other noises and things are somewhat distracting on some videos...
But the contributors are doing the best they can for what is usually a first ever or a one time submission while they attempt to control their own nerves, fears, and feelings... The videos are not in house studio productions, they are real... Consequently the results are done with whatever equipment they can afford, and with whatever skill they muster or possess, and are filmed in places they feel safe and comfortable... As a result, they have no control over external noises such as paper thin walls that allow neighbouring conversations and arguments, crying babies, traffic noise, planes, bells, sirens etc...

All you can do is overlook any possible shortcomings and be grateful for the fact that the contributor did their best and gave you a very private piece of themselves, something real and unscripted... In spite of any shortcomings in production quality, I appreciate and admire all the contributors for every little thing they have done or attempted, all of which have enriched my life, my knowledge, and my continuing education...

And btw, It is nice to see an answer to our answers to your intial question

I think people in Australia or Melbourne have been interviewed for the Confessions videos. Being in the US, I recorded my own. And yes, ashmedi, as with the other parts of the process you're trying to manage technical stuff while going through something that is can be emotionally daunting. And trying to be honest and loose while worrying whether or not it's up to technical standards. Everyone who goes through it or tries deserves credit.

Most of the confessions, even the ones here in Australia are actually filmed by the contributors themselves. Sometimes we recommend they get a friend to help them or to ask them the questions, plus we're here to answer any questions they have while they are doing it - they can just give us a call. I like the confessions part the best myself, love hearing all the different stories. When I did my confessions, I was so nervous. It was the first time I'd done anything like it.

101 and Traci: I'm sure making the confessions is an unnerving experience. I like listening to them, if I can understand them. The problem is that many of them were recorded outdoors near a street, with the camera and microphone relatively far from the speaker, so the mike picks up the street noise (and sometimes the wind), and I can't understand what the people are saying well enough to make it enjoyable to listen. In a few cases they are in empty buildings, and the reverberations muddle the sound as well, again, because the microphone is far from the speaker. Is this because it would unnerve the speakers if they were holding a separate microphone? So I was skipping the confessions, but now I test a bit of each confession online; if it is hard to understand I skip it, but if it sounds good I download it. But if some of these hard-to-hear confessions are highly recommended by others, they can be worth the effort, even if they are hard to hear. So I appreciate the feedback. Hopefully others do as well.

Nearly all BA's are recorded with handycams, which rely on internal mic's. These days the pictures from handycams are amazing - in some respects better than pro cameras a decade ago - but they struggle to improve the sound technology and much of the inteligibility of speech depends on other factors. Our brains are very good at cancelling out reverb when we're in a space, not so good when it's recorded. But we recently re-wrote the site instructions including notes about how to improve the sound quality.

Hi, Richard. I'm really glad to hear that you have provided more recording instructions to agonists to help reduce the background noise in confessions. It's amazing how many are recorded near busy streets, or by a window onto a busy street. I'm sure the agonists must have been disappointed later when they heard how much noise was recorded. I also note that some of the later confessions and no longer full-body shots, so the camera and microphone are closer to the speaker. That gives more prominence to their voice as well. Even without background noise, I find it more enjoyable to listen to a voice that sounds like it's near me rather than one that sounds like it's across the room. So thanks for all you are doing to make the confessions sound more clear and intimate.

I guess this is sort of counter to the whole point of them, but I definitely like confessions in which at least one of the following is true:
-she speaks very softly
-the camera is set up such that you can see her whole body
-she is wearing the same clothes and/or in the same place as her agony

I also really like the, as I like to call them, "confagonies", in which both parts are juxtaposed in some way. I would give 0081 and 0248 (especially 0248) as examples.

I've been subscribed to BA off and on for a LONG TIME. Honestly, I now enjoy the confessions more than the agonies themselves. (and I confess that occasionally I will check in the guy's confessions to hear the stories).

Even though I'm behind on confessions (and I'm sure I've missed a lot). I have two confessions which are incredible.

FIRST is 0428. Holy cow! She's a little nutty but she's hilarious and talks in runon sentences. Very erotic and zany, the closest you're going to get to Molly Bloom on this planet. Her hitchhiking story is pretty amazing. (Seriously, I'm a fiction writer, and everything about the way she speaks fascinates me!)

It's nothing like 428, but 304 is really cute and talks very innocently about things, but she's definitely a kinky one....
