Hi all,
I'm currently using Media Jukebox 8 to manage all of my audio and video files, but I find it is really slow to load certain video formats and it often fails to import a lot of video clips for mysterious reasons.
Just wondering if anyone out there could recommend a good alternative for video?
I like MJ's interface - it lets you sort easily, batch edit file information, add notes, create playlists etc, and is a great way to manage thousands of files - but the video bugs are getting to me. I'm reluctant to upgrade to the latest version as I'm not convinced it will do any better.
Any suggestions for a good reliable video app? Preferably one that can handle any format and download its own codecs, and that doesn't infect my PC with the pox and/or cost an arm and a leg?!

Jukebox thing or management I don't deal with.
But your last paragraph clearly cries out for VLC Media Player.
She's at www.videolan.org
(Has nice slow motion feature! (keypad "-"))
