Now here's a thing. I remember seeing a short film on Channel 4 here in the UK a long, long time ago. It was basically the Beautiful Agony concept, but it was an art film that had been shot in the 1960s. Thanks to the IMDB I have found it:

It is called "Moment" and it was made by a man called Stephen Dwoskin. There is an article about it here, with a screenshot and a set of stills:

She takes a drag on a cigarette. I don't remember there being any sound. It's twelve minutes long. It is essentially Beautiful Agony, and if you were going to write a newspaper article about this site you'd have to mention it.

Wow, someone else saw that. It was on Channel 4 in 1993 or 1994 if I remember right. I taped it. It was the most erotic thing I had ever seen, and when I discovered BA I thought they had got the idea from 'Moment'. By the way, there was sound, but it was just this echoey whooshing noise. I found that disappointing. I'm so glad BA uses sound recorded in the room with no music or other nonsense dubbed over it.
