I get that you guys don't get it.

I don't get it either, i wasn't hoping anyone would. But can you dig it?

The subjects don't get it, most of the nervous charm comes from that. But some of them dig it (giselle bundchen) while other don't (bridget hall - all bottled up like she's never seen a camera before). And the guy who made them certainly didn't get it, he's just hacking what andy warhol did 40 years earlier - minus the excitement of doing something original, minus the need that was inside warhol that made him want to do it in the first place.

I'm not sure andy warhol got it either when he shot his "screen tests", or when he shot the empire state building for 8 hours...much of art is just provocation and pity the fool who'd actually step into the b.s....

Except with warhol you could say he had no choice, that was only following his motto/ethic/aesthetic. Whenever ppl asked him why he never chatted at parties and just lurked all night he'd say: I like to watch.

If i were a camera this is how i'd look at ppl and objects too
