The more members this site gets, the more I have the impression that the comments are getting shallow and superficial.
As in the past there were some interesting threads concerning the feelings of the agonees, things that arouse women, the most erotic part of the body, or some funny observation anybody noticed, there is now a *culture* of commenting other posts coming up which has nothing to do with a discussion board, but with a fun-orientated bubble and there is more and more nonsense being posted... A pity!
Come on guys and girls! Comments please!

It's up to those moderating and contributing to a discussion board to set its tone. If you don't like the existing discussions, try starting some of a nature which better matches your desires. Some discussions which are of interest are prohibited so you might see if those discussions are available elsewhere. I haven't looked, since I come for the content more than the discussion.

I'm as shallow as puddle on the street, as light as a bubble, don't make me philosphise or eulogise- well at least not too much. We can have the classic French thinker's Salon, stroking our chins and contemplating the great issues of our time and the front bar of the pub all in one place I'm sure. Me, I like to flit and flip between the two, ignoring threads that I'm not interested in, sticking my nose into the ones I am, leaving a little snip of wisdom or sharing some nonsense as the case may be

Jo, I gave a special "ouch!" on reading your message, since it just so happens that you sent it almost immediately after yours truly had (after many weeks of silence/ absence) posted four consecutive messages here!!!!
All the same, you probably you didn't have me in your sights. Can't apologize, anyway, for posting useful notes and references -- it's the ex-librarian in me, and is also, I suppose, part of "the kindness of strangers" which can be such an inspiriting element of a good site (such as this). That thread about movie-'agonies' is already bidding to turn into a nice useful bit of informal cooperation.
In case you didn't notice, the little 'literary' quote I posted in the Ruby thread is itself part of the discussion -- ongoing, so far as I can see -- about what stimulates women, woman's wonderfully varied orgasmic capacities.
Wishing you joy and celebration.

I totally agree to you, Ell, as long as there is a balanced relation, which I notice is changing towards the shallow one... And that's what I'm sorry for...
Don't misunderstand me, I also like to comment some other comments in a light and perhaps nonsense way (and I often do!) but I also think that I bring my contribution to a demanding discussion...

I did not have you (or anybody special) in sight, it just was by chance that my post came immediately after yours, so sorry for the "ouch"...
It's just a thought that I have for some weeks that in general the level is going a bit down...

I have no beef, if you will, with any of the posts here. Some I get more out of than others. I know I don't contribute a lot so I can't criticize. I do find the threads such as "what stimulates women and woman's wonderfully varied orasmic capacities" to be quite interesting. It is very interesting to me that some women are able to have countless orgasms from masturbation or intercourse during one session whereas some have to struggle so hard to reach one orgasm and then some don't even have the pleasure of one. We're all here to enjoy each other and we must all love to witness the look on the faces of people masturbating or we wouldn't be here. No complaints from this end.

And shortly after Jo posted some ... hmm ... not very profound comments in another thread.
Jo, how about living and letting live? Just an idea.

Sorry to follow on the tails of your comments again, salsasalsa -- believe me, it's nothing personal!
I'm not sure I agree with Jo's assessment, but I definitely agree with the concern.
It's precisely because this forum community is such a great thing that IT IS WORTH STANDING UP FOR, even if that means speaking up when we usually would not or ruffling a few feathers in the process.
The sheer volume of threads is getting to be overwhelming, almost lending itself to swings toward (comparative) shallowness or redundancy, just to keep viewers new and old alike involved in the "current" topics. Alaclark's resurrected thread is a rare exception to this; I'm sure few of us look beyond the first page anymore.
I don't see any other solution than to interact in the forum in ways that contribute to keeping it so great -- staying on topic, favoring thoughtful comments over "nonsense," keeping reasonably respectful of others and their perspectives (humor is usually a plus!), being honest, listening to the moderators and previous lengthy discussions, etc. etc. If Jo thinks that's slipping, well, that's what this forum is for, isn't it?
Cheers!

My understanding is that any flaming will be smothered with breasts - so behave. Please.
