While I have not seen ALL of the agonies currently published here, I have noticed a certain trend which when broken on very rare occasions, adds a welcome breath of fresh air to the contributions.
The trend is "quiet, self arousal". Almost all agonees I've seen have been in a quiet room, achieveing their state of arousal by the power of their mind alone (ok fingers help, but you know what I mean).
This is no bad thing, of course, but one instantly sits up and takes notice when, for example, two people contrive to agonise together. (Agony 0267 for example)
I have often wondered, however, why so few (if any. I've seen none yet) have music playing in the background to enhance the mood. I'm sure there are a million and one suggestions for sexy music. Sade, Madonna, Mel B, Björk, Annie Lennox have all been heard in movies and webcam shows. ...or would mood music be considered a distraction?
For that matter, would a contributor taking a video while engaged in phone-sex - for example - be considered outside the remit of this site? (This might be a thinly veiled suggestion for Ruby's quest for an overkill topic here. hehe)

We ask them not to play music, for copyright reasons. There have been a few submitted where we haven't had the opportunity to tell them that though. The phone idea is great! Ruby!

I think most of them instead opt for the sexy sounds of construction and traffic.

Actually, Jake, I like those sounds.
They remind me of the (alas, long ago) days of my youth when for some blessed reason or another, I managed to get a female friend to come share a dalliance in my little apartment on a Saturday afternoon. You'd hear the rest of the world hustling by and know that you'd managed to retreat for a wonderful interlude.
Kind of like Proust's tea cake.

I have to agree with Syzygy - I love the background noises usually. Some of them are distracting though, especially some of the empty hollow sounds that make it feel like the women are doing this in a plane hanger or a warehouse.

D'oh! Copyright! You'd think I, as a musician, would have remembered that one!
Hmmm... What do you think the chances are of celebs offering a waiver for artistic purposes? (This would be an even more thinly veiled attempt at getting celebs in here hehe ...but that's a different topic)

I was just kidding. I don't mind the sounds either...unless they're so loud they interfere with hearing the Agonees.

Jake-- I agree. Of course, this whole process about what flips your trigger is so totally subjective.

Erm...
Just a suggestion...
Isn't classical music out of copyright by now?
(I can see certain pieces being banned from the outset though... Like "No Stairway to Heaven" in guitar shops... No "Bolero" in BA! lol)

Even though most classical music is now 'public domain', modern artists tend to do their own arrangements of classical pieces. These changes allow them to copyright their version of a classical piece. Everybody wants to get their slice of the money pie.
Now, you might be able to find some early vinyl recordings that now qualify for public domain status. But many of the 'Agonees' were born after CDs were invented. So a lot of them have never actually seen a vinyl record, in person, much less own a classical record that is now public domain.
Hmmm... maybe members who do have access to such things could form a lending library of public domain recordings for future 'Agonees' to use. It's a thought.

the agonees themselves dont have to be quiet
i like to listen to their breath, their words, their vocal- and their bodysounds
but i´m not interested in the sound of their toys, their neighbors, roommates, the telephon, visitors on the staircase or the traffic ambience.
some better recording techniques could bring some more accoustic enjoyment to our ears
btw:

Yes, I think the sound has more of an impact than most of us realize.
I was recently able to review some clips on a more sophisticated sound system than what was available to me before. It's simply amazing what subtle nuances can add to the experience!
I noticed in particular off-camera noises that sometimes painted a much different picture of the whole event than I had before. Between #19 and #48, for example, it seemed obvious with the original edit that #19 achieved her agony from intercourse, and equally obvious from the sloshing sounds that #48 had oral assistance. In their overkills and with advanced sound, however, the suggestion eslewhere on the forum, that #19 might be receiving oral pleasure and just REALLY getting into it, seems to be a sound (pardon the pun) observation, while Ms. 48 actually appears to be the one intensly appreciating some internal action. There's still a LOT of movement in #19's overkill, but the seemingly obvious isn't so obvious anymore. And, I still have no idea what's going on with #74, except that she's really enjoying it.
Anyway, my point in posting this is not really about figuring out what's going on outside the frame, but that sound adds a lot. Gotta go

Sounds make it for me as well. In particular the natural body sounds associated with the agony in a couple of the women. I am talking about what sounds like the stomach (or other organ!) growling on agonists 238 and 282. It seems that these growls preceed immediate spasmodic reactions and in both cases, the loudest ones occur right before orgasm. On 238, which is my absolute favorite on the sight, her growls occur throughout the video, but the most prominent ones occur at 1:24, 4:10 and 4:52 which immediately either signals or causes the orgasm.
On 282, the growls occur at 2:03, 3:06 and 3:38. The final one seems to actually be the orgasm starting.
I never have heard that reaction in any of the women I have been with or watched orgasm. It is either good microphone placement or something outstanding on these particular agonees.
I have learned so much in the week I have been here.
Of all the things that God created, is there anything as fascinating as the clitoris?
