I haven't been here long, so forgive me if this is old news, but a large number of these clips contain what a radiologist would describe as an "artifact," a little smudge of dirt or dust on the lens which is visible on the clip.
The artifact is slightly above the midline of the "eastern" edge of the "northwest" quadrant of the screen.
In most clips it appears above the subject's right eye.
How about a wee wipe?

Wow, I'm glad somebody brought this up!!! I first noticed the smear ages ago, but just figured I was going mad because nobody else had mentioned it.
On some of the darker clips its barely noticeable, but on others it can actually be quite annoying.........clip 0342 is a good example, when the girl faces the camera directly it looks like she's got a large spot on her forehead.

Yeah there was a smudge on the lens of one of the cameras we lend out, that was a while ago now, there are a large amount of tapes always waiting to be edited on my desk, that little splodge went unnoticed for a little while my end of things, it's not recognisable when your looking at the original submission on the lcd screen of a handycam.

I check out #342 for the so called "artifact" but beside some reflection on her left cheek I see nothing wrong. I never noticed any artifact at all in other agonee videos. I have a iMAC computer!!. But I will keep an eye anyway. For the reflections, one can cut them off at least partially by using a linear polarizer before the lens.

It's nothing too serious, just the sort of thing that when you've noticed it once, you tend to notice it many times.
